"my theory was right..if you are a "build up mass units then attack" aka steamroller...you'll loose to a rapid base expansion player aka geurilla.i was playing geurilla style against the computer's hard steamroller and it was actually easy.he cant fight two fronts since he's massing one force.while if i played steamroller tactic against a geurilla computer on hard it was difficult as he cuts my supplies and is attacking from all directions.meaning no "safe" tiberium fields.and a steamroller player needs a lot of resources.so what i did was i expanded 2 bases right from the beginning(you can do this coz u can build sumtin like a base expansion unit...like an mcv but only lets u build around it once deployed.) with u bases i get two fronts and i use less of the tiberium rate for each field
.i create one refinery at each base not 2 in one as a normal player would.from there its more to economics as you arent concentratting on troop placement(doesnt matter if ur outnumbered) but to get ur accounts moving constantly without stop.(possible...i found myself with a limitless cash flow once the infrastructute was in place...literally!) and with unlimited cash ur losses dont matter. i was maxing out production of 4 factories without fail in finance. but use defences effectively...dont rely on them but use them coz for the amount of dmg they are a lot cheaper.eg: nod oblisk 1.5K while a warmech is 3K.1/2 price but 2x the dmg and repairable in combat.dont rely coz u need the mobility of a base as in not afraid to loose it.(hence geurilla).well,we should bring up teh game with the boys when im back.take care." -END
Not a review as im sure i reviewed it before.just a technical read as im replaying it's skirmishes and found the various tactics the AI handles namely geurilla warefare to be rather interesting as the usual norms of building defences facing the enemy's base no longer take into account since his direction of attack doesnt matter as he doesnt take the straight road of attack.his base may be in front of you but hell attack from behind.He even bothered to pilot his aircraft to adopt this!
Can't wait to try the expansion as i heard it was even better! storywise especially...

True,any other tactic could get the same if you penalise the pc's productions...but i didn't. no field was attacked as i wanted to test this theory. The reason for my consistency was my expansion of bases that didnt stress of hte fields. Had i initially build 2 refinaries in the same field.I'd finish teh resouce there fast and end up slowing resource gathering as i need to expand or that my harvesters had further to travel.not to mention trecherous as they'd be hounded by enemy forces.
I played open maps with 3-4 entry points so it was impossible to "chokehold" the entry and prevent enemy from getting to my harvesters. But building bases next to fields(harder to do later as enemy would be stressing on multiple fronts...easier at start when there's still no attacks) and relying on managed usage of the fields proved very effective.

Anime Movie REview: Vexille
First and foremost,it is TOTALLY unmemorable. The story was a story told a million fold to the extend it would be a footnote had it been in GITS. The animation though nice is too clean.As though you never aged and dirt was something that never existed and that the grain of materials had been sandpapered.But I guess you could say it was a particular "style".Fair enough.Tho i have to admit i liked the slum introductionary scene which gave a rather authentic feel of such an enviroment but it was WAY too brief.
The story though had no excuse.Apparently from the same makers as appleseed which was no surprise as the graphics were similar ,the "swat team elite" idea was not new..the female main character even looked "similar" and had same characteristics. In fact if one was to say it was a continuation from the last movie i'd not be surprised. THat being said.it made the movie even worse. I mean you do expect "difference" in a "different" movie. Unless this was a continuation of appleseed. If not, it was like a replica. Dull...should never repeat the same thing twice.
The music was alright.but needed more "umph".They put the engines louder than the music...which i think should have been the inverse...music always pumps the mood up a bit.expecially a good track.not the engine noise unless it was a movie about racing in which the engine would naturally give the feel of the vehicle's power...of sorts.

Characters: EXACTLY like Appleseed..talk about no imagination.(since its not appleseed,it shouldnt be the same...guess the debate is this is the maker's trademark or sumthin...still a minus point..imo)
Graphics: Good
Music: good but engine should be quieter than the music.Cant catch the beat it tends to fade out too often.I'd rather a more consistent beat and track.
Btw,tho there were a few nice fight scenes the mechas weren't very impressive.I guess there are logics behind that.

Oh.haha..i leave my msn online ALWAYS and tend to do other stuff at the same time even when im in front of the pc.but you can msg me i'll message back after awhile.no worries.as for the dame...didnt work out. went for michelle's bday tho which was alright but i kinda found it odd being practically the only person drinking for her frens and bf were either driving or had work the next day...weird excuse since the next day was a sunday.I found it rude.I mean you should partake in a drink or two and a celebretory cheers during someone's bday.Pompous bunch but mich was pretty out by the end of the night.haha.guess they werent keen to spend and true enough none of them paid.her bf had to fit nearly the whole bill besides my contribution.haha! freeloaders...
A perfect specimen of a woman.If only given the finer touches which i can provide.hehe.oh well,if it happens it happens.guess it didnt this time.=/ But she's a great fren or at least one of the few people that make me confortable.WHICH i find to be odd,since we rarely spend time together.I mean usually you call a close fren a close fren after going thru an ordeal or being frens for ages.This was the total opposite and i noticed she feels the same hence why i was invited for her bday.It's funny...we click at an odd level.I guess when u have similar ideals and keep the relationship honest.(yeah,she was honest too and explained every detail of her decisions...De Ja Vu? haha...sounds like a mirror of me?eh? haha...well,i guess we both don't let 'egoism' get in between us.the closests of friends have no egos between them.Wish i could spend more time to get to know her tho.At least i'd be at more ease justifying her as a close fren that way. I feel we could be closer than even how close veronica and I were (i use were coz we arent close at all these days...her ego grew too big for me to handle)...me and veronica were close before cause i could break her ego and she'd let go into me...but here with mich...we WILLLINGLY drop our egos and that makes it so perfect.=)
The indochine dame well,i guess i understand her(fun life and forget the future) but she doesnt make me happy on an intellectual level.tho i have to admit other ermm...aspects she was indeed rather fun.The low is that she's "fun" but has little to no ambition or anything more substantial than the immediate fun.i rather a more balanced gal like Mich.oh well,again to the hunt.I might still go out with her for the fun and all but nothing serious and yeah she pretty much knows that.I tend to be frank.besides,its more fun that way than to have any "hidden" agendas and gals appreciate the frankness.haha...they dont really mind that you wana sleep and cuddle them as long as you never mess with their hearts and if it happens it happens.besides,some even have similar ideas.not everyone can jump or want to jump into a relationship that wont work.if you know a relationship wont work but ur fond of a person and have attractions....does it make sense to have a relationship to "justify" sex? in the end hating each other due to the failed relationship? yet,being frank and just sleeping as frens isnt a crime.In psychology of sex it's knows as a "friend with benefit" and oddly is pretty much acceptable these days.Yeah,i actually bothered to read about it a few years back when i was "debating" on the idea of sleeping with a fren(no,not gona mention names ever.got into trouble from that before) since my prior belief was "sex only with gfs" but naturally that changed.Might also explain why i'm not keen to jump into a relationship that i already know won't work.

Finished "The Witcher" which was fabulous...FUN and engrossing not to mention that the ending left you with wanting more and the story is actually a lot more complex (well,depends how you understood the ending and picked up the "hints" or not) eg:alvin was the rose night dude...and other small stuff...a lot which i think depends on what paths you chose in the game...a lot of which have pro and cons....
Finished "FEAR expansion" ....it was ok...fun...but OK....
FInished SUPREME COMMANDER... The last level for each side is the SAME level...which gets dull...oddly its a LOT easier to win with AEON.
Downloaded "excalibur" 1981 version.Which is still IMO the best of all king arthur movies.Even WITH consideration to technology.it was probably the most "realistic".I mean a castle isnt gona look spick and span like it was waxed which new flicks tend to make them look. the 1981 flick made them look as they should. rough and gritty yet where needed made it look wonderous in its own right.and everything about the movie followed that suit.fabulous work of art.Btw,it's also where the soundtrack CArl' O FOrtuna first started off.
Also downloaded "rob b hood" a chinese flick by jackie chan and benny lai (ithink that was his name) and it reminded me of the simpleness of chinese comedies that make them so entertaining.Makes me miss home and the whole cultural lala thingy.most people hate it and stuff but i appreciate the differences in each culture.Oh well...home 25th nov. i'm so watching jackie chan flicks when i get back.
Also saw the last ep of "code geass r2" which is fantastic.If he really did die that is.which should be the case as it puts everything into place of sorts.Lancelot joining him and the oath that he'd kill him.)Which was fulfilled.Also the reason he starting making the world hate him when they all know who he is.so yeah....kinda put things into place.yet it was a unconventional anime anyway.where the characters were more human at heart...or should i say their human hearts make their decisions not always predictable by character.(noone being wholly good or evil and at times making decisions that are uncharacteristic)...
Good weekend.tho it was spent at home.didnt go gym for a week.picking it back soon.didnt overeat to counterbalance lack of gym.so yeah didnt put on tho i didnt go thankfully tho strength would decrease im sure.anyway back to gym and study cycles...no clubbing for a while...till exams..only a month to go anyway.= )

Dears...i was skeptical at first but found it extremely "cute".ONly 2 episodes so far tho. But it's kinda fun. WOnt give a final score till after it all. But some of the humor is TOO deliberate but being jap and all it's understandable perse. Nice and enjoyable.
